Real De Banjul Defeated Bakau United in GFA 1st Division

Banjul, The Gambia (TNBES) Real De Banjul defeated Bakau United by a goal to nil in week eight of the Gambia Football Association (GFA) First Division League at the Serrekunda West football ground on Saturday 27th February 2010.
Pap Theadore Jatta showed diligent movements before putting Ousman Touray through to slot the ball into the net in the 35th minute to give Real De Banjul the lead.
Bakau United were awarded a penalty in the 42nd minute of the game when Alige Bah was brought down inside the eighteen yard box, but to the dismay of the Bakau fans, Buba Sama’s spot kick was well read
by goalkeeper Alagie Modou Jobe.
The two teams fought tooth and nail for the second goal that would have rather been a game decider in such a closely fought match.
Modou Sam’s could have leveled the score line five minutes before full time when he jumped to head on target but goalkeeper Alagie Nyabally was well focused and seemed less troubled putting the ball out for a
corner kick.
The game ended Real De Banjul 1-0 Bakau United as both sides collects 9 point in 8 games. VOL:2 ISSN:110
