Breaking News: Africell’s 3G still in limbo

Still in the dark is Africell’s 3G, whose hype has been in the air ever since the company disclosed almost a year or more ago that it was going to bring to the doorstep of Gambians a third generation technology of a standard “3G with a difference” that never was in The Gambia’s GSM industry. As the so-called leading GSM company that is known for its customer mesmerizing ability, when Africell made such a declaration of bringing into The Gambia a 3G with a difference, the whole nation bought it all. However, the 3G with a difference promised by Africell to have been on steam by now is yet to see the light of day.

QCell roaming claims hangs in the balance

Barely six months after it started operations, precisely in December 2009, QCell claimed it is roaming all over the world with 550 partners in 208 countries worldwide. “This means that QCell has a minimum of one roaming partner in every country,” the company says.
QCell’s Chief Executive Officer Muhammed Jah described his company’s roaming service as a piece of innovation that exemplifies convenience and simplicity. Its reach is limited only by the number of countries in the world.

Qcell Breaks a Record with Roaming Services

VOL:1 ISSN:16 The Chief Executive Officer of Qcell, Muhammed Jah has said that from 1st December 2009, Qcell is now roaming with 550 roaming partners and present in 208 countries in the world, with a minimum of one operator in every country in the world.

He said Qcell Instant Roaming Sim Card is a piece of innovation that exemplifies convenience and simplicity, adding that the Qcell Instant Roaming SIM Card is a gateway to the global communication.

Jah made these remarks during a Press Conference on Qcell roaming services at Qcell Headquarters at Kairaba Avenue recently.

“I am sure you will agree with me that whenever records are broken, especially a record which will positively affect the lives of people, it will be worthwhile to recognise and celebrate the event of the record breaking,” Jah told the conference.
