In a post match interview, GPA Coach Peter Bonu Johnson heap praises on his goal scorer Sam Gibba, whom he described as a young player from South Gambia, Jambanjelly. He said the lad has been patient and working hard.
He is among many young players who joined GPA from the Non-League (Nawettan) and are building up with the opportunity given to them, Johnson said.
Coach Ousman Janneh of Africell argued that his side loss honorably and played down the result saying it is a matter of lack of concentration that Africell conceded a goal.
He denied being furious at having to loss his first match in the 2011 GFA League Season. Africell were promoted to the top tier of Gambian football last year, having relegated a year earlier.
