Ahmadi Muslims urged to be peaceful and law abiding

The Amir of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat in The Gambia Baba F. Trawally has cautioned Ahmadi Muslims across the country never to be involved in disorderliness and should remain peaceful, law abiding citizens and serve their country at heart as commanded and practiced by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
Amir Baba F. Trawally was speaking at the closing ceremony of the 35th Jalsa Salana (Annual Convention) of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat on  24th April 2011 at Nusrat Senior Secondary School in Bundung.

He said transactions, so called diplomacy and selfish ulterior motives at the expense of justice and moral injustice, corruption is the reason why conflict resolution has become a nightmare in crisis torn countries.
He said all Muslims are morally bound to protect the rights of others and maintain justice in their dealings and transactions. They must be driven by goodwill truthfulness, and not the contrary.
“Allah Almighty said in the Qur’an that we should guard ourselves against evil and speak straightforward words that He shall make good our works and cover our shortcomings and grant us victory,” he said.
He said in the absence of moral justice, confusion, strives and crises shall always assail the world from every direction. He told the Jamaat that they should never resort to rebellion or any form of activity that can lead to instability.
He said the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW) has taught that man must be humble in all his doings and equal to none in that regard, he eat the same bowl with the poor, needy and he help his wives in household and domestic chores.
He stressed that the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW) was never self asserting and gave equal treatments to high, lower, rich and poor and that is why Allah Almighty said it is due to his humility and kindness that souls were attracted to him and if he was hard and proud they would have dispersed from around him.
The Imam Ratib of Banjul Alhagie Cherno Alieu Mass Kah said the Jamaat should safeguard and protect each other so that they can live in peace and harmony. He said it is important to know that they are all children of Adam, and added the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said: “all the people are from Adam and Adam is created from the earth and from this earth they shall be raised from.”
“As we are all from Adam, we should unite and work together as brothers and sisters in peace and brotherhood and strengthening peace and stability in our country,” he said. Source - The Voice
